WOODRIUM

朝日ウッドテック株式会社の新シリーズ「WOODRIUM（ウッドリウム）ボード〈挽き板〉」は、木材の挽板を使った、

フローリングの化粧材製造技術を内装材・造作家具へ応用する、銘木の挽き板を使った内装用ボード材新シリーズです。

そのなかでKA神谷はデザインディレクターとして参画しました。

まず２ｍｍの挽き板をいかしたディテールの開発を行いました。大理石からインスピレーションを得てデザインしました。
また、展示会でのメインパビリオンを設計しました。ヒトデ型で5本の家具が伸びる形状で、フローリング材WOODRIUMボード〈挽き板〉が様々な家具へと適応できることを表現。

そしてそれらのディテールを実際の建築でも活用しました。

その一例が2023年に開館した博多の「傀藝堂（かいげいどう）」の家具です。部屋一面（床材以外）にＷＯＯＤＲＩＵＭボード〈挽き板〉と同材フローリングを用いた大胆な応接室で、

テーブルとベンチすべてにWOODRIUMボード〈挽き板〉を採用しました。ＷＯＯＤＲＩＵＭの可能性を追求しました。

WOODRIUM

Asahi Woodtech Co., Ltd.’s new series “WOODRIUM Board <Sawn Board>” is an interior board material using sawn boards of precious wood that applies wood sawn board manufacturing technology to interior materials and fixtures. This is a new series.

Among them, KA Kamiya participated as a design director.

First, we developed details that made use of 2mm sawn plates. The design was inspired by marble.
We also designed the main pavilion at the exhibition. The starfish-shaped shape extends from five pieces of furniture, expressing the ability of the WOODRIUM flooring material to be adapted to a variety of furniture.

These details were then utilized in the actual architecture.

One example is the furniture at Kaigeido in Hakata, which opened in 2023. A bold reception room with WOODRIUM board (sawn board) and flooring made of the same material throughout the room (other than the flooring).

All tables and benches are made of WOODRIUM boards. We pursued the possibilities of WOODRIUM.
